Vrosens Atelier
Vrosens Atelier is a fine sculpture studio based in Frederick, Maryland, producing original works in bronze, stone, wood, and metal.
Based in Frederick, Maryland, the studio works across scales — from intimate bronze studies to monumental public installations. Each work is conceived, fabricated, and finished in-house, ensuring complete artistic integrity from first sketch to final patination.

"I am drawn to materials that carry a sense of time within them — stone formed over millennia, bronze with the history of thousands of years of casting, wood with its rings of lived seasons."
How the Work is Made
Concept & Sketching
Each work begins with intensive sketching and maquette work — exploring form, material, and scale before committing to the final piece.
Material Dialogue
The choice of material is never arbitrary. Bronze, stone, wood — each carries its own history, weight, and demands. The material participates in determining the final form.
Fabrication
Whether casting in bronze, carving stone, or fabricating steel, every work is made by hand in the Frederick studio over weeks or months.
Surface & Patination
The final surface treatment defines the work's relationship with light. Patinas are developed and applied with the same care as the sculpture itself.
